UK GUARDIAN NEGLECTS TO MENTION TERROR SUSPECT WAS COLUMNIST FOR THEM

A former Guantamano Bay detainee in the War on Terror who found fame as a columnist for the UK Guardian is back in jail after being implicated in terror offenses in the Syrian civil war.

Moazzam Begg was implicated with 3 others by British security services for 'suspicion of facilitating terrorism overseas'.

The former Guantánamo Bay detainee Moazzam Begg, who became a vocal campaigner against the alleged excesses of the war on terror, is back in detention after being arrested for alleged terrorism offences linked to Syria.
Supporters of Begg, 45, claimed his arrest at his Birmingham home was politically motivated and aimed at halting his work trying to expose injustices committed by the west. Begg was arrested on Tuesday morning on suspicion of attending a training camp in Syria and facilitating terrorism there.
Red State's Erick Erickson noted on Twitter that nowhere in it's reporting did The Guardian acknowledge that Begg was a regular columnist for the newspaper for years, from 2007 to 2012.

Although the news report makes several references to Begg's 'writing/s' on various subjects, such as the Syrian civil war, the War on Terror, and his experiences during his detention at Gitmo, it never states these writings appeared in The Guardian itself over a period of five years as part of Begg's regular columns.

As Erickson noted, Begg's columnist page still appears on The Guardian's own website:

The Guardian report passes along Begg's claim that British security services had no problem with his travels & activities in Syria in 2012, but then has to admit that in 2013 authorities seized Begg's passport and forbid him from traveling out of the country due those selfsame Syria activities.

Perhaps for some reason as yet undisclosed The Guardian decided not to call it's reader's attention to the fact this terrorism suspect is a former Guardian columnist on terrorism related issues?

The LA Times Changes It's Tune From
"There Is No Doctor Boycott
Of The ACA!"
to
"Wow, In A Completely Unexpected Development, A Lot Of Patients Discovering Their Dr. Isn't In Covered CA's Network Despite Being Told They Were!"

This is the great thing about Progressives lying to people and making false promises in order to get them to do what they want them to do:

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WAIT.  Time cures most illusions.  Especially illusions spun by Liberals.

EXPERIENCE will teach people to stop listening to Progressives.

Shot: Another ObamaCare Myth Exposed - The California Doctor 'Boycott'

Chaser: ObamaCare Enrollees Hit Snag At Doctor's Offices

Hey, Michael Hiltzik, meed Chad Terhune.  Chad, this is Michael.  You guys should get together and compare notes or something.

Of course, Chad Terhune at the LA Times tries to put a benevolent spin on this fiasco by talking about 'outdated provider lists'.

Well excuse me. ObamaCare has been in the works for 3 years.  Covered CA. has had 3 years to update it's provider lists and since the ACA 'went live' back in October, they've another 4 months to update their provider list and make it accurate.

There is absolutely no excuse for a person showing up at a doctor's office after having been told a Dr. is on that provider list and then finding out differently at this late stage.

It's not 'faulty information'.  Covered CA. has been deliberately lying to it's customers for months about which Dr.'s are in their provider network.

The excuses being made simply do not add up.  Expect to see this issue gain traction as thousands more Californians who thought they had access to a doctor discover otherwise.

Of course, it won't take long for the standard PC rejoinder to having been misled to become:

"Oh hey, so the Dr. we told you was in the network isn't really in there. So what? Just go find another one already.  Jesus, what's the matter with you??!!"

No admission of having lied to people, just a 'suck it up, buttercup!' and an attempt to move on to the next item on their agenda.

When enough people are pissed off at what's been done to them, expect to watch the Left melt down as the 'progress' they think they've been making gets halted and then rolled right back over them in the next couple of years.
